| The Hospital Board of Authority is composed of five elected members (Board of Directors) who govern the Authority for four-year terms and represent each of the five districts of the county. The Board of Directors is the policy-making body of Hendry Regional Medical Center and is authorized to levy an annual ad valorem tax upon all taxable property within Hendry County.
The Board of Directors determines health system policies and provides direction and counsel on management, administration, planning, and development. Directors are responsible for health system compliance with applicable legal requirements, the maintenance of professional and ethical standards of healthcare services, sound financial management and operation of Hendry Regional Medical Center, and the selection and appointment of a qualified medical staff.
