Reflections of Family and Friends
 Holidays can be a difficult time for those who have lost friends and loved ones, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Finding ways of remembering these individuals as still being part of the holiday season can be very helpful. The Hendry Regional Medical Center Foundation has a Remembrance Program in progress, whereby a plaque is placed in the main hallway of the hospital to display names of memorialized family members and friends. A donation to the Foundation can be used to remember and memorialize individuals after death or honor them on special occasions during their lifetime. The Foundation will continue to enhance the legacy of friends and family members at Hendry Regional Medical Center.
Another method of honoring and memorializing loved ones (and pets too) is through the Foundation’s brick campaign. A 4x4 brick with an inscription such as “IN MEMORY OF AUNT JENNY” can be purchased for $100.00 and an 8x8 brick can be purchased for $150.00. The proceeds from the brick sale will be used toward the construction costs of the new emergency room, surgery suite, and laboratory at Hendry Regional. (Ground breaking expected in 2008.) Hundreds of bricks will be incorporated into the architectural design of the new facility.
