Coping with an illness can be difficult and sometimes a little overwhelming, especially when it comes to making decisions and sorting out information.
Hendry Regional Medical Center’s Social Services department is available to assist you and your family with concerns; we’ll help to find solutions to meet your healthcare needs. An experienced professional is available to meet with you prior to your discharge from our hospital to ensure a smooth transition.
In collaboration with the physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals, our Social Services staff can help access and coordinate many types of health services such as:
Identification and assessment of needs
Liaison between you and the physicians and nurses
Discharge planning
Referrals for equipment and other community resources
Supportive and financial counseling
Advance directives
Crisis intervention
